MOVIES!

I really like all the movies, and I think we learn a lot of uses of calculus in real life. I wish everybody has enjoyed the videos as I did. Thanks to T. Linda to let us watch the videos in her home.

Tomorrow is the partial exam, so I have to keep studying a lot.

wow! the third partial exmans are comming, one week more!
this week was nice =) I get a 98 in my calculus quiz, so I improve my grade, because the first quiz I got like 54 something like that.. and Im happy =)

First of all i want to say Thanks! to teacher Lida, because she gave us more days to finish the movie.. wow!

This week was fine, the new topic of calculus was less easy than the ones we already studied. I think the quiz was easy, and I made an effort to get a good grade. I hope I could get it.

CENEVAL

Ceneval was good.. I think that we were prepared to do it, but there were weird questions that I didnt know... The two parts of math were very easy! but the part of Spanish was difficult and also the sciencie part.

I imagined that ceneval was more diffucult but it isnt, i wish we'll get a good grade and a high average.

VACATIONS!

Oh yeah! =)

I really need this vacations because this week was very weird and bad, I get a 70 in administration and the last partial I got a 96! is a drastic change(the exam had a lot of trucos).. so on Sunday I fell down and I wasnt able to walk... but at the end of the week I understand that everything happens for a reason and now I can say this week was amazing!..

I hope this holly week everybody have fun and I wish all of us to spend time with our families, the time we cant spend with them because of the school and other things.

Well, lets talk about the movie...

I think this movie will be very fun! We are very excited about it. We made a Gantt chart in order to be more organize in our project, we have to think carefully about the dialogues, we have to say everything because of a reason, in specific times. We want to be very originals in our scences, and edition, using our imagination. So here is the Gantt Chart:

I was remembering Multimedia and Temo with this kind of works, I really like to film videos and things like that. =) So lets see what'll happen with our project!

1. What is the Newton’s Law of Cooling?

It is a formula(y-y1=Cekt) used to know the temperture of objects or bodies in a certain period of time. It could be used to determinate the time of death of a person.

2. What variables in your problem correspond with the variables in the Newton’s Law of Cooling?

in our problem we are looking for the time of death, so we have the "y", "y1", "c", we have to find "k" in order to get "t"

3. According to this Law, at what time approximately the death happened? Like 3 hours ago we found the body. And we find the body at 3:00 PM. so we conclude the teacher was killed at 12:00 pm.

4. How does the room temperature affect the time of death?

It affects a lot, because the objects always wants to reach the temperature of the enviroment. So it is an essential factor in our project.

5. How does an illness (e.g. fever) affect the time of death?

It affects becase we dont know what was the exact temperture of the body, so we cannot use the Newton’s Law of Cooling.

6. How exact is the approximation of the Newton’s Law of Cooling for predicting the time of death? it could be exact if we know exactly what is the initial temperture of the body(when it eas alive), but if the body is removed for one place to other, it doesn't work anymore.

4. What methods are commonly used to find the time of death?
There are two methods:
Rate method: in this method they use the body temperture, putrefaction, etc..
Concurrence method: It compare the events that happended in a time.

5. What factors are considered in Algor Mortis?

Humidity of the body, movement of the air, size of the body, what was the body wearing.

6. How does the environment affect the time of death?
It is very important because if the temperature is too low the body will be in a better state, and if the temperature is too high it will take less time to descompose.

7. What can you tell about the different methods of temperature reading of the body? Do they make a difference in the results? I think they go to the same result, but in a different ways.

In conclusion I can say I learned a lot of things in reading and answering this questions, but it will be most interesting to do the project.

1. What is forensic science?
It is the application of other sciences in different cases like in amunder case.

2. What kind of evidence can be collected in a murder case?
The condition of the dead body and the objects that were found around the body(if there was an object).


3. Why is important to determine the time of death?
It is important because we can know a what time the person was kill, and it give us like a clue of who could be the killer.

I think the goal of this project is to demostrate that Math is very usefull in any area of our life. I really like this project because it makes you think about a lot of things that seems like no important, but they really are.

week 4

Esta semana fue muy estresante, por ejemplo, para el dia lunes que era el examen de calculo, teniamos exposicion de ingles, trabajo de ESEM, etc..y asi fue todos los dias. En general no nos fue muy bien en calificaciones en el salon, pienso que se debe a eso, de que estando en semana de examanes nos dejaron proyectos, tareas etc.. entonces no nos podiamos concentrar en el examen, fue algo realmente estresante! Pero en fin... a ver que pasa el proximo parcial.

Hoy todos se fueron a Guadalajara, espero que se diviertan mucho. comprare el nuevo manual de calculo!

La cuarta semana de clases, que rapido!

Esta semana solo tuvo 4 dias, ya que el lunes no hubo clases. Fue una semana tranquila dentro de lo que cabe, ya que fueron dias muy extremos, un dia no nos dejaban nada de tarea y al otro dia miles de tareas.

Esta semana he estado un poco estresada y no presisamente por la escuela. Mi mama esta cuidando a dos niños muy traviesos y nos traen en revolucion. El lunes es el examen esperado por todos, el examen de calculo. Estudiare todo el fin de semana para salir muy bien con el favor de Dios.

La clase que mas me gusto esta semana fue la de la actividad de los quizes, aunque saque tercer lugar, espero mejorar. Las integrales cada dia son mas complejas, pero no tan difciles. Los problemas de el principio no me gustaron mucho, porque casi no les entiendo.

Esta semana fue buena, aunque me he sentido un poco mal de salud, tratare de cuidarme mas.

week 3!

Esta semana se fue muy rapido, y gracias a Dios este sera un fin se semana largo! :) Las tareas de calculo han sido sencillas y si las pude hacer, pero el quiz! me puse muy nerviosa, de verdad que me fue muy mal...

Ayer en la clase de filosofia medimos nuestro rostro para ver que tan "perfecto" era segun unas formulas matematicas. El resultado tenia que ser 1.61 en todas las operaciones, a mi solo uno me dio 1.6, los demas me dieron 1.5, 1.2, etc.. pero en realidad no es algo que me preocupe mucho, porque pienso que la verdadera perfeccion y belleza de una persona se encuentra en su corazon, en una sonrisa, en un abrazo, en palabras sinceras, etc... Esa actividad me parecio interesante, es por eso que la comento aqui.

La frase de esta semana es: " We are usually convinced more easily by reasons we have found ourselves than by those which have occurred to others..." Pienso que muchas veces nos importa mas nuestra propia opinion y le damos mas importancia a nuestros hallazgos que a los de otros, porque desafortunadamente el ser humano siempre tiende a ser un poco egoista. Hay ocasiones en las que debemos detenernos un poco y pensar en los demas, no podemos andar por la vida como si fueramos el unico ser humano en la tierra, tenemos que aprender a tolerar a los demas y algo mucho mas importante es valorar a las otras personas, no por lo que han hecho por nosotros, sino por el simple hecho de ser personas.

=) Estudiare mucho para los examenes en especial calculo!

Second week!!

This second week in 6th semester was very nice, because I really like the people of my classroom, teachers, etc.. and I'm a little sad becasue is the last semester in preparatory! :( but whatever, this is a time of changes, and I have to face it.

=) About Calculus, the problems are very confused, but the integrals problems are relly easy(more than derivatives)!! I think this blog will help us to know each other in the whole generation not just the classmates.

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.

I think this activity starts with the Martin Luther King Jr. quotation because it said that is very important to talk about what's happening in our life and we have this blog in order to write about the important things we feel, think, see, etc.. and of course to write about what we learn every week in the class.

I had never imagined that we could use a Blog in the Calculu's class, but I think this will be interesting and we can share our learnings and thoughts.
